DESIGN TIP: 60–30–10 Rule is a foundational approach to color balance: 60% establishes the dominant tone, 30% introduces a supporting hue, and 10% delivers contrast and emphasis. This proportion creates visual harmony without overwhelming the space. 60% dominant color (walls, large flooring areas, major furniture). 30% secondary color (upholstery, window treatments, case goods). 10% accent color (art, pillows, accessories, small statements).
